Lost Roman Heroes - Episode 19: Spartacus
Perhaps one of the most well recognized names from Roman history but what do we really know of Spartacus the man? Born in Thrace, he may have fought in the Roman army before being enslaved and trained as a gladiator. He would bring Rome to her knees, but was that really his objective, or was he simply a tragic hero who simply wanted to go home? Can an enemy of Rome make it into the Hall of Heroes?

Jason, awesome feedback! Thanks to you (and your wife) I began to notice the ‘matteo matteo matteo’, sorry about that, I’m trying to rein it in. And even though he does sound like he would rather be licking skunks at times, that’s not a function of his passion or knowledge, its completely a function of the time we record - end of day better for teenage boy. Thank you for hanging in there with us, for listening, and for taking the time to give us feedback.

I was listening with my wife, and she walked away. Her comments are Matthew says Mateo too much. I didn’t notice until she said something. You used his name 17 times in the first 15 minutes. Now it’s all I hear. Thanks wife. And why do I listen when it sounds like Mateo would rather be licking a skunks than doing this podcast? There are days he definitely sounds bored. Do with that what you will. I’m still listening.
